Prepare For a New Sales Game for 2025
Whether this year's been lucrative or not, it's well-worth taking some time to prepare for the new year. Here are some tips and strategies to consider.
- Conduct an in-house marketing review. Ideally, you'll be able to calculate (or remember) what worked the best for you, so you can use the same approach next year.
- Simplify your processes. If you've seen negotiations get bogged down or potential buyers lose interest, the solution may be as easy as simplifying how you handle these challenges.
- Invest in technology and tools. In addition to an easy-to-use CRM, I can provide marketing materials with details of your listings. Ask me for more information.
- Lead your own cheer session. If you're part of a team of agents, find a fun way to encourage cooperation, learn new skills, and increase accountability.
Boomers Flood into Cities with Climate Risks
While younger buyers are considering the possibility of environmental risks when deciding where to live, few retirees share their concerns.
Recent analysis of 2023 property sales found that over one-third of home purchases made by people aged 65 and older last year occurred in areas with significant heat risk. Younger borrowers under 35 tended to be wary of areas such as Florida and Arizona.
The trend extends beyond severe heat risk, though.
- Nearly 13.3% of home purchases by people 65+ were in counties with high flood risk, compared to 9.8% of purchases by younger buyers.
- 3.7% of older buyers' purchases were in high fire-risk areas, compared to just 2.6% for those under 35.
